How did the Vatican force its way into the UN in the first place? Canon Law was introduced by Mussolini - a leader with questionable spiritual morals. To be part of the UN - i find it confusing that the Vatican is not a country with a head of state nor does it have its own civilianship - you do not come from a known or recognised country known as Vatican nor do you have passports recognising Vatican civilians? I also find it hard to understand how the UN allows the Holy See any say in any of its works when the Vatican impedes many issues relating to human rights work - this somehow gets protected under a very complex and contradictory Canon Law. Most importantly, how can the UN allow the Holy See any part within the UN when it has used its rights as protector of souls to sexually abuse children under its care and protect those abusers under its own Canon Law. I do not see why the Vatican needs to be present within the UN as oit can represent itself within the context of a religion without the UN arena. I find this outrageous
