Bishop Joseph Kalathiparambil, Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerants, was appointed Archbishop of Verapoly on October 31. The appointment is another step in the path that will lead to the merging of four Vatican dicasteries into the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development.
