Baloney. The bishop was removed for calling another bishop a homosexual, and for being different than his radical colleagues, not for sheltering a bad priest, according to the Vatican.

First of all the scandal was far less about the abuse; people know these kinds of men exist and that Judas was one of the twelve.

The problem was one of how the Bishops handled the problem.
